BIO

Shannon Kelly was born in Lexington, KY, and has been writing stories since she was in preschool. Her first published work is titled The Kitty and the Washing Machine, and was transcribed by a teacher when she was just three.

Since then, she has not stopped writing screenplays, novels, short stories, and poetry.

With a B.A. in Film and a Master's in Education, Shannon's heart still lies with the written word.

The Ash Tree, her debut novel, is a masterful retelling of the classic Cinderella story, with elements of many of the world's traditional version woven throughout.
